Law Abiding Citizens: Legal Insight on Alcohol and Cannabis to Shape Your Reporting

May 20 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Learn about the country’s changing legal landscape that can help shape your understanding of the industry you cover and story ideas for the future. The legal and business interests of beer are changing rapidly, and this is a good way to stay on top of it all. Join us at 8 p.m. ET on May 20 for a chat about all things legal, lobbying, and regulation with the hosts of the REGULATED podcast, which focuses on a range of regulatory and legal issues in the world of alcohol, cannabis, and more.

Our guests:
Christian Bax – Florida’s chief medical marijuana regulator from 2015 through 2018. As the first Director of the Florida Department of Health’s Office of Medical Marijuana Use, Bax oversaw the development of Florida’s medical marijuana use registry, implemented the state’s patient identification card program, and assembled the Department’s medical marijuana inspection and compliance team. He’s currently an attorney and regulatory affairs specialist working in the cannabis industry.

Tony Glover – Attorney and regulatory consultant at Glover Law, a Florida law firm that works with companies on legal and regulatory issues that accompany growth, including many companies in hospitality. He previously served as director of the Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering and deputy director of the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco.
